Simply asking Jesus into your heart is not the way to salvation.

Luke 14:28 Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Will he not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it?

You have made yourself worthless to God.

Romans 3:12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.

The vast majority of individuals are headed straight to hell.

Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

To be saved by Jesus you have to give up all.

Luke 14:33 In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.

Only those who hate their life every day are true Christians.

John 12:25 The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Christians must hate and despise money.

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

Jesus died to give you forgiveness of sin and abundant life, but on His terms.
